The BCIT Computing Club is a community of over 1500 student builders. We pride ourselves on being some of the most technically capable student developers in British Columbia, and we don't just say it. Our work consistently demonstrates it.
That standard is reflected across everything we run. Our events go beyond just throwing together AI made prototypes. We believe that actual intelligence and fundamentals are just as vital as AI. All of our events reflect this through themes and challenges that require more than just an AI agent to address.
HTTP Hacks is the BCIT Computing Club's advanced hackathon, a hands on event where students show off deep understanding of programming knowledge, and solve problems that AI struggles to handle.
Students team up and solve the given problem in a short timeframe, building projects aligned with a shared theme. Between all of the code, participants engage in mini challenges. Food is provided to keep the momentum going. The event concludes with a live demo and judging round, where the strongest scored projects are showcased to the entire audience and recognized for their technical execution.
